.22 conversion to 17
Saw a barrell assembly to convert a ruger 10/22 to a 17, anyone here done it yet?

Re: .22 conversion to 17
What would be the benefit of this? Is .17 cheaper than .22? Also, how fast can you swap the barrel on a 10/22?

Hope you can find the .17 HM2 ammo to feed it... More information is available at this website: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/index.php |

You need a heavier bolt handle too, or it won't work right. Kits will have the barrel and bolt handle. The 17HM2 kicks with more power, and with the regular 22LR bolt you will get FTE's and burst cases. -end- |

I have done .556 to .22
and its a hoot to shoot all day for $20 instead of $150 |
Re: .22 conversion to 17
I have a S&W revolver in 17 hmr, it's a fun little gun.
I wanted a semi-auto rifle in the same caliber, but there's no good choices at any reasonable price. The only ones that don't seem to have problems are the Volquartsens, but they cost $1400 each and that's too much. -end- |
